When the SLR purchased the Old Colony Railway (formerly the Mass Coastal Railroad) it dumped most of the existing roster in favor of class DL13 & DL16 units, but kept two ancient New Haven FL9s to provide streamlined power for the passenger trains it operates as the Cape Cod Railway.
Both sat idle for several years after the acquisition (The acquisition closed in January 2020 and then the plague struck and wedged a spanner into anything even slightly resembling mass transit) but went back into service in 2022 (freshly painted, even) running excursion trains on Cape Cod.
