When the Ann Arbor (with Parsons Vale funding) finally purchased the Great Lakes Central in 2019, the railroad came with a handful of SD35s which were soon traded to the BAR in exchange for a pair of classDL34 units.
By 2025, most of these SD35s were gone except for #1337, which had been remanufactured at the BAR’s Derby shops with an AC drivetrain and a Cummins QSK60, and which was now in class DL42b.
