When the P&W was taken into the Parsons Vale system, it came with a ridiculous number of slightly different GE locomotives, and after some existential despair the motive power department classified them off into their own little cubbyhole instead of filling the standard DLxx classification with many MANY single-engine classes.

This is the classification scheme that was devised for all of the slightly different P&W Bs & Cs; PWDExx – all the GE B38s are in one class regardless of their exact specifications, ditto for the B39s, B40s, and C40s.

All of these engines were off the roster by 2013.
