PV&T class B #213; Alco built the carbody & GE built the drivetrain

In the early days of GE’s manufacturing of electric locomotives they subcontracted the carbodies to ALCO. All of the PV&T’s initial fleet of road motors were built in this way, even though their builders plates only say General Electric.

(Admittedly, after rebuildings some of the modernised units no longer have any GE components, but they are still on the books as manufactured by Alco & GE.)
