Ramal Férreo Campineiro

The Ramal Férreo Campineiro was a small railroad - or an extended tramway line... - which linked the city of Campinas with the Cabras district. It had 33 km of track. It was built in the end of the XIX century as a railway to serve coffee plantations. In the twenties it was electrified to allow a tramway fast passenger service. This railway ran until early sixties, when it was supressed by E.F. Sorocabana, company which was responsible for its management, which alleged several financial losses.
