This locomotive is the sister of a rare G.M. diesel-hydraulic locomotive, designed as GM-DH1, that belonged to the former Viação Férrea do Rio Grande do Sul. It was the third of this kind to be built and was supplied to the Electric Reduction Co. Main features: 74 tons of weight, two motors of 400 HP and an Allison torque converter model CTA 5842.
