Estrada de Ferro Vitória-Minas
This is one of the busiest Brazilian railroads. It links the iron ore mines
of the Minas Gerais state to the Tubarão harbour, near Vitória, capital of
the Espírito Santo state. It belongs to the Brazilian mining corporation
Companhia Vale do Rio Doce, which also runs another railroad in
the north of Brazil, Estrada de Ferro Carajás, also
used mainly for iron ore transportation.
