Arrival of the new electric cars of E.F. do Corcovado in the Rio de Janeiro harbour, 1980. This railway received four trains, each one with two cars, built by S.L.M. with Brown Boveri electrical equipment; both companies are from Switzerland. They are fed with 900 V, 60 Hz electric current; as a matter of fact, E.F. do Corcovado is the unique Brazilian electric railway to use such system! They use the Riggenback rack system.
