LT&L class N2 #961 in tricolor

In 2005, three recently retired class B2s and a junked B1 were rebuilt into class N locomotives, but with the electrical system modestly updated to match the class K5 motors. They have more horsepower (7400, like the class K5s) and can be distinguished from the original class N units by not having a big transformer radiator in the middle of the unit.

All of them are in service.
